'There’s too many spiders,' Luka Doncic hilariously vows to NEVER go to Australia despite Josh Green’s invite
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Mavericks advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the 2nd time in three seasons. They defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in a thrilling Game 6. The Mavericks and their star man, Luka Doncic were forced to fight until the last second. Fortunately, a pair of crucial free throws from P.J. Washington, one of the team’s crucial trade deadline pickups helped Dallas win 117-116.

Interestingly, Josh Green of the Mavs was interviewed by an ESPN Australia reporter, Kane Pitman. However, the interview quickly turned hilarious when Mavs star man Luka Doncic interrupted Green’s interview. Green invited Doncic to Australia, to which Doncic rejected his invitation by stating there were too many spiders in Australia.

In a video posted by Kane Pitman on X, Green said, “Luka is coming to Australia this offseason.” Doncic replied, “No there’s too many spiders.”

On the sports side of things, the Dallas Mavericks are through to the next round of the NBA playoffs. They will face either the Denver Nuggets or the Minnesota Timberwolves, depending on their game 7 result at the Ball Arena in Denver.

Luka Doncic starred in Mavs’ game 6 win against the Thunder

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in a crunch game 6. However, this win would not have been possible without their star man, Luka Doncic’s stellar performance against the Thunder. He led the attack along with his teammates Kyrie Irving and Derrick Jones Jr.

Doncic scored 29 points on 9-of-15 shooting, with 10 rebounds and 10 assists, marking his seventh playoff triple-double and third in a row. Derrick Jones Jr. added 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting, while Kyrie Irving added 22 on 9-of-23 shooting.

With the Mavs coming in clutch in game 6, their fans will be hoping that Luka Doncic and co go all the way in the NBA playoffs this 2023-24 season. A lot of expectations will be on the Mavs to win the NBA championship this year.
