Sampdoria to pass on keeping Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks

Sampdoria are expected to pass on Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks.

While delighted with Winks' form in recent weeks, Samp management accept they cannot afford to meet the 25m valuation Spurs are demanding.

With Samp set to be relegated, the prospect of signing the midfielder is a non-starter, contrary to English media sources.

For his part, Winks also has little appetite to spend a year in Serie B - if not longer.

Winks' deal with Spurs runs to 2024.
